What is the Full Form of HBYC in Medical?
The Full Form of HBYC in Medical is the Home-Based Care for Young Child Programme. In order to promote the nutritional well-being and health of young kids (3–15 months), lower child mortality and morbidity, and foster growth as well as early development during childhood, HBYC was introduced in the year 2018 as part of the National Health Mission & POSHAN Abhiyan. The ASHA offers five incentive home visits on the third, sixth, ninth, twelfth, and fifteenth months under HBYC. For five planned home visits, ASHAs receive an incentive of Rs. 250 for each kid in the HBYC group.

- Assistance in identifying and managing issues pertaining to a child’s health and nutrition, as well as counseling for mothers as well as other caretakers.
- Use the MCP card to help identify children’s growth and development delays early on.
- Assistance in managing and preventing common childhood diseases.
- Help in the timely referral of ill children to medical facilities for follow-ups & complication handling.
