Infrastructure, Communications & Marketing:

A group of program managers are essential to MOIC’s operation. One of the program managers took maternity leave throughout the year, thus a hiring process was started to find temporary replacements. The MOIC Board accepted a business case to partially support a consultant pharmacist at the Western Health & Social Care Trust (WHSCT) in order to help develop a cadre of qualified researchers within the pharmacy workforce. In October 2020, the person was hired for a two-year term as a respiratory consultant pharmacist. Given their clinical competence, the individual’s goal of dedicating 25% of their time to research and service development activities with MOIC has not always been achievable due to their concentration on COVID-19 patient care.
